the elephant follows 0982, the last of twelve candidates for a disaster-ridden time exploration program. stuck between states of consciousness and unconsciousness, 0982 begins to suspend, a term used to denote candidates whose minds become incapable of distinguishing the difference between what is called "being and non-being." in the process of suspending, 0982's story winds its way through multiple indistinguishable events, all of which contain various forms of both himself and the elusive presence of an elephant.
